Community Service Programs

Arts
-- We promote an appreciation for the arts by inviting local artists to our meetings to discuss and display their art work.  Some of the local artists have been pottery experts, woodturners and a watercolor artist.  We annually provide financial support for the Very Special Arts of Loudoun.

Conservation --  Our Conservation Committee promotes conservation in a variety of ways ranging from recycling to cleaning the Red Bud Trail at Claude Moore Park.   In the past we have supported a local high school ecology club and their bluebird project.

Education --  In addition to sponsoring two sophomores from local high schools to attend the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Foundation every year, the Woman's Club of Loudoun awards a $1000 scholarship to a student from the C.S. Monroe Technology Center.

International Outreach --  Some of the international projects we have supported are the United Nations Shot @ Life, Stop Hunger Now, and Operation Smile.

Home Life --  We provide monetary support to the local shelters, charities and organizations as we support our community:  Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter, Interfaith Relief, Loudoun Breast Health Network, Health Network of Northern Virginia, Loudoun Free Clinic, Mobile Hope and Community Table.  During the year we also donate school supplies, socks for all ages, dinner, and personal hygiene products to local shelters and organizations.

Public Issues --  Our Public Issues programs help to raise member awareness and knowledge of local issues.  We also support the Boulder Crest Retreat (Wounded Warrior) and Appalachian Service Project.
